“The World” R:2 is the largest online game to date with over two million players worldwide. However, beneath the adventures and fun the game hides a dark secret. People all over have fallen into unexplainable comas once again. However, this time it's worse - much worse. With how wide-spread the problem has become, CC Corp is having more trouble than ever in trying to hide the problem. The system administrators are at a loss on what could be wrong, and have been searching desperately for answers. After all, you can't solve the problem until you know what it is.

With the members of Project G.U. all but vanished from the game, the situation now rests in the hands of a new breed of Epitaph users. Few of them have awakened to realize the gift of power they possess, but the fate of all the comatose players rest in their hands. Those that have realized their power have been doing all they can, struggling against increasingly difficult odds. Just when things seem to be looking up, they wind up being sent back to square one, or new outbreaks of comas are reported. Time is running short, and they've re-prioritized their mission. First and foremost, they HAVE to find the remaining Epitaph users. Then, and only then, will they have any real shot at triumphing over this... disease.
