[Rules]

NEW! Rule. If you're going to use Hojo as a scapegoat for your experimentations, please do it in a manner that would go along with his timeline, and personality. As well as be sure to contact Admin and the user of Hojo for permission. Yes, Hojo did a lot of bad and scary experiments, but using a character with out permission is considered Power Playing; not all of the scientists were Hojo. Please take that under consideration.

NEW! Rule. If there is a materia implanted inside your character's body used for super-human purposes or the like, it will eventually consume your body. ~Vanira

1. Respect. Please respect all Administrators, Moderators, and Members. Treat them the way you'd like to be treated! This doesn't include being rude IC, your character has it's own personality, after all.

2. Harassment is looked down upon and will be corrected upon notice.

3. The typical rule of thumb: no godmoding. Your character can't run around hacking and slashing, killing even air itself on it's unnecessary rampage. However.. some actions, such as killing characters, always require consent as they significantly impact the RPing of other users. Other actions that always require consent include, but are not limited to:

-Kidnapping
-Sexual acts
-Mutilation/Experimentation
-Murder
-Destruction of a town, city or landscape
-Moving a group to another location
-Killing, kidnapping, or mutilation of important NPCs

4. Unnecessary spam aches our hearts.

5. Chat Speak also brings us pain. We love words that are spelled out completely! Spelling errors are warmly welcomed, though we'd love to see your educational level by avoiding all sorts of Chat Speak.

6. Applications will not be accepted unless "Golden" is put in the space.

7. We have nothing against going above the PG-13 level. You cannot force any actions upon another member. Within the Wall Market, however, that's a different story! Threads must clearly be marked if there will be anything above the PG-13 level.

8. Posts will be in third person, past tense format. Try to practice 'mirror posting' as well. If someone has a 6 paragraph post, a sentence won't be acceptable.

9. If found breaking the rules, your actions will have consequences.

10. We soon found this confusing to most people. This is set before FF7:AC. Considering AC is two years after the fall of the Meteor, FFSD is set between the two. A year after the fall, and a year before AC. ;3

11. Applications will not be accepted without the extra addition of "Chocobo" within the space.

12. There will not be any children or students of Canon characters. I'm sorry. Please do not apply as such a character otherwise you will be turned away and asked to redo your application.

13. Narrated fights between characters can be rather complex. Generally, one character must narrate an action, such as an attack, and the character affected by that action may respond. It is not practical to go into extreme detail for every move of a battle, but the most to all majorities of wounds or actions should always follow this format. For the same reason that not every attack should hit, a character may not dodge every attack. Battles do not have to be equal matched depending on the number and skill of the characters. Remnants, Experiments and Soldiers would generally have the upperhand against say... A Shin-Ra Executive or a Mercenary. Also, most shifters would generally be weaker than say a Remnant. It all really depends.

14. Administrators have the right to decline any account for any reason, and are not required to alert the creator, especially regarding canon characters. However, we try and contact the creator, informing them of changes that need to be made.

15. Because Sephiroth's Dungeon is a fantasy RP, character names should reflect that and be appropriate in that environment. Common names, such and “Timmy” or “Catherine” are acceptable, as are user-created names, such as “Farora” or “Hyperonus.” However, names that are more suited to a message board, such as “1337” or “I_eat_squirrels” are not accepted.

16. If a user is creating an account for the first time, it is necessary that he or she fill in all the character’s information to some extent. While new accounts created by known users are not required to have a complete profile at the time of sign up, they must be filled eventually. All characters should have at least a simple profile, and the more detail, the better.

17. While characters with storyline importance or positions of power on Gaia may be created, a single character may not gain excessive political or military influence without approval from the admin. There are several “main characters” that exist as part of the plot, namely the ShinRa executive characters as well as the one head evil person, Manfred von Elbe.

18. Cell Phone conversations: One thing that players might want to look into is cellphone conversations. Utilizing this will allow you to contact someone in a location unknown to your character. You'll need to post on your location, a long with the location of the character you're choosing to reach. Generally the post located in your area will have your characters thoughts and feelings along with dialogue, while the other post will have dialogue and notations of pausing and heavy breathing.

More will be added upon need.
