Ranks

Avidite

Alpha- The alpha is basically in charge of the pack. They call meetings, yadda yadda. Alphas are usually present for training sessions, and sometimes lead them. They have the ability to accept wolves. This is a rank strictly for males.

Beta- The Beta is second in command for the pack. They organize hunting and training, and are normally in charge of the training sessions. They have the ability to accept wolves. This is a rank strictly for males.

Guard- Guards do a number of jobs. They will watch over pups if needed to, help with a hunting patrol, or just watch the borders. They will be the ones sent out for solo fighting missions or to defend borders. They are normally very strong, and sometimes join the warrior training sessions. Many guards were previously warriors. Think of them as graduated. There are not as many guards as there are warriors, but the few Guards that there are are very skilled. This rank is strictly for males.

Warrior- Warriors do the fighting for the pack. If a war comes, it is the warriors who will fight off the enemy. Warriors frequently have training sessions that they are required to attend. This is a rank thought of to be occupied by males only, but under extremely special circumstances a female can become a warrior. If they do, they will be treated differently, though, and thought of as the worst fighter in the group no matter how skillful she is.

Hunter- Hunters gather food and hunt for the pack. Unlike the warriors, hunters do not have many frequent training sessions. They do, however, gather every once and a while to share tactics and such. Hunters rarely hunt alone, and normally hunt in a group of at least three wolves. The rank of hunter is mostly for females, but sometimes a male will be allowed to take the rank.

Healer- Healers are required to obtain their own herbs, and they basically heal the wounded or sick. The ranks is expected to be taken by females, and it is extremely rare for a male to become a healer.

Pup- Pups are wolves under the age of one year. Normally pups start thinking about what rank they would like to hold at 8 months, and they start training at 10 months of age.

The Jules

Leader- The leader is basically the equivalent to the alpha of the pack. They are in charge, and are usually skilled in all ranks. They call meetings and organize the gang. They have the ability to accept wolves.

Trusted- A trusted wolf is like a second in command, or beta. They are also normally skilled in all ranks, and are usually very close with the Leader. Normally the trusted is a friend of the leader. Trusted wolves, though they really have a need or reason to, organize border patrols, hunting patrols, or training sessions. They have the ability to accept wolves.

Watcher- Watchers perform all sorts of tasks, but are mostly in charge of keeping the borders in check. Watchers also watch over pups and hunt if needed.

Thief- The rank of thief requires lots of experience or training. Thieves are basically the hunters of the gang, though occasionally they will steal prey from Avidite's territory. The Jules don't exactly have plentiful prey in their section of Chicago. If caught while stealing, a thief will get one more chance. If caught a second time, the thief will normally have their rank switched so as not to endanger the gang.

Spy- Spies also must have lots of experience or training in the field before actually receiving the rank. Spies normally just try to get information about Avidite. Every once and a while, a spy will be sent to Avidite for undercover work. This job is even more risky than being a thief, as if you are caught by Avidite while undercover you will most certainly be killed. There is no room for mistakes with this rank.

Fighter- Fighters are the stronger wolves of the pack, and they basically fight. If a war comes, the fighters will be sent out to, well, fight. It's sort of self-explanatory.

Pup- Pups are young wolves. There is no official age, really, though it is rare for a pup to choose a rank before the age of 10 months. A pup must be at least one year one and have training before they choose he rank of Spy or Thief. Normally, they don't get sent on any real assignments if one of those two ranks until a bit after they choose their rank.

Loner: A loner is a wolf that isn't in a pack. This is the default rank unless another one is requested when you first join the site.

That's basically it, guys. Thanks for reading. :D OH! If you've read these, type Swan in at the beginning of your RP sample.
