Out of Character:
1. Common sense rules. These are rules everyone should know by now- no godmoding, no power-playing, no chatspeak, no spamming, try to use correct grammar, capitals, and spelling. You guys should know all this stuff by now, right?
2. Respect both the admins and your fellow members. We've had problems with this in the past, and it's time to put my foot down. If you want to start a fight, do it somewhere else. Don't post discussions that are going to offend people and don't pick on other members. If you have a problem with a member, contact an admin first and we'll try to sort it out. Don't just bully them on the chatbox or on the boards.
3. This is a PG-13 Site. This means there are things that are not allowed here such as roleplayed-out sex, huge amounts of random swearing (and definitely not OOC), nudity in postscripts or pictures, and extremely graphic violence.
4. Stay Active. If you just have one character or multiple accounts, make sure to keep them all active and log in with them frequently. If you're going to be gone for some reason or another, make sure to post it on the proper board. We will delete accounts that haven't been logged into for a month, so make sure to stay logged to avoid being accidentally deleted.
5. Be wise with characters. Make sure to only join as as many characters as you can handle. If you can't keep up with a dozen characters, don't join as them! Also, only one character per account, please.

In Character:
1. No Canon-Related Characters. This site is set in waaay in the future of Hogwarts, and for some reason all the Harry Potter characters from the books and any relatives they have had died off. You are not distantly related to anyone in the books- do not try to say so. Stay original.
2. This is an Intermediate/Advanced Rp site. This means that we expect at least two good paragraphs per post at a minimum, in third person past tense. Also, try to use mirror posting when roleplaying- try to get around the amount of quality as the person you are roleplaying with.
3. Be realistic and stick with canon. Magic aside, stay realistic with your characters. Know that they have flaws and limitations and keep them in mind. Also, try to stay to the Harry Potter canon as best as you can. No wandless magic, you can't own a pet dragon, things like that. If you have a question on whether something would be okay or not, ask an admin. Also, Professor characters should be at least 30 years old.

Bloodtypes Information:
PUREBLOODS:
A pureblood is a witch or wizard whose line is made up of completely magical folk with no muggles in their line, dating all the way back to the middle ages and to where ever the first 'pure' witches and wizards formed. ...Or so they say. Since this would make continued, long-term breeding almost impossible, most lines have maybe two or three muggles slipped in, but these muggles are far back enough in the line that they hardly show up anymore and aren't enough to call the family 'tainted'. Most lines are inbred, and continue to inbreed with cousins and the like to uphold the honor of being pureblood.
--Pureblood + Pureblood = Pureblood
--Pureblood + Tainted = Pureblood or Tainted (Debatable)
--Pureblood + Half-blood, Muggle-born, or Muggle = Half-blood
TAINTED:
These are the families who were once pureblood, but found that either continuing the line with solely magical folk was impossible or chose not to and there are a few muggle somewhere closer in their line than purebloods, but not close enough to be called a halfblood. Sometimes these are families that call themselves pureblood, or even /think/ they're pureblood, and either choose or ignore or are unaware that they have muggle relatives closer than they think.
--Tainted + Tainted = Tainted
--Tainted + Pureblood = Pureblood or Tainted (Debatable)
--Tainted + Half-blood, Muggle-born, or Muggle = Half-blood
HALF-BLOODS:
Basically, the rest of the wizarding world falls into this category. While technically a half-blood would be when a muggle and a pureblood marry, the term has become very loose over the generations and can even be when a half-blood marries or a muggle, or even when two muggle-borns marry. This could also be called 'Mixed blood'... or by prejudice pureblooded or tainted families, 'dirty blood'.
--Half-blood + Any blood type = Half-blood
MUGGLE-BORNS:
Muggle-borns only last one generation- this is when two muggles have a magical child. It is debatable that there was a wizard somewhere far back in the lines of the parents of these children, though if the magic really is from pure muggles or from muggles with faint magical background is still being debated. Muggle-borns are always unaware of real magic, though they and their families are exposed to it once they are accepted into Hogwarts and informed of their talents. If two muggle-borns have a child, though, the child will be considered a 'half-blood'.
--Muggle-born + Any blood type = Half-blood
MUGGLES:
Muggles are people with no wizarding or magical blood in their families, and have no magical talents whatsoever. Sometimes, such as with purebloods, there may be a witch or wizard somewhere back in their line, but it would be so far that they would hardly show up any more and no one would know. Their offspring is most commonly just muggle, but sometimes there is the rare witch or wizard, who then becomes a muggle-born.
--Muggle + Any magical blood type = Half-blood
--Muggle + Muggle = Muggle-born
SQUIBS:
Squibs are witches or wizards who has one or both parents that have magical abilities, but they do not possess the abilities themselves. Being a squib does not change their blood status- they are still a pureblood or a half-blood (though they cannot be muggle-borns... they'd just be normal muggles that way). They do, however, usually retreat from magical society and live their lives as muggles. Since a squib is not a blood type, it doesn't make any difference in what the magical abilities of the offspring should be.
