If Dolls could Speak...
There was once an inventor who was a little more gifted- and perhaps a little more eccentric- than the rest. He had a visionary dream- a race of people who wouldn't be faithless and cruel like humans, who would choose one mate and be with them forever, to be perfectly monogamous, to feel nothing but Love and Happiness, and to love unconditionally... He constructed a doll, graced him with the desire to love and create, and with his magic, brought his creation to life.
This creation he called the Puppeteer. The Puppeteer could craft the most beautiful dolls; he made rooms full of them, all by hand, with as much skill as the Master- the inventor who had created him. But the Puppeteer was lonely- there were no others like him, and the Master knew that his own time was coming, so soon he wouldn't be around to keep the Puppeteer company. Then he got an idea.
An awfully mischievous idea.
Traveling across the world, far away he created another living doll; this one he called the Maestro, and gave him the ability to bring other dolls to life. Then he gave the Maestro a singular purpose- to make the Puppeteer happy. Only he left out a few details- such as where to find the Puppeteer, what he looked like, or even if he was male or female. And then, before the Maestro could ask any more questions, the Master died.
At the same time, the Puppeteer was searching for the Maestro; the Master had promised him that if he found the Maestro, he would never feel lonely again. The two searched for years, and years, for what felt like forever, until fate finally drew them together, and they experienced what it was like to be with your Soul Mate.
The Puppeteer shared his dreams with the Maestro- dreams of a place where they would be safe from humans, and the dolls they made together could live peacefully- a utopia just for them. So the Puppeteer built the Doll House with the Maestro's help, and on an isolated island they created a paradise. Now the dolls live there freely- each one driven with the desire to find their Soul Mate, to love unconditionally, and above all, to be happy...
