Ranks

This is a list of available ranks within the site. Please be aware that some are not available for application, and must be earned in-site, through experience and an In Character RP test. For quick reference, these are X-Men, X-Trainees, X-Teachers, and Brotherhood Elite.

X-Men

A rank that requires a convincing application. One can apply as an X-Man, but they must be 18 or older, as well as have a control over their power and reasonable personality suited to the responsibilities of one. For example, murderous psychopaths with little control over their abilities would not have been accepted through traditional In-Character testing measures, so they would not be accepted through applications.

Institute Staff

Teachers and other staff employed by the school require no special application. But be aware that Institute Staff does not necessarily equal X-Man, and you will not have the same luxuries or opportunities for field ops. Conversely, X-Men can, and often do, teach classes themselves, so take that into account when choosing.

X-Student

Any mutant that joins the Institute usually starts as an X-Student, unless having initially applied for the position of X-Man or Staff. To become an X-Man from this level, your character must have serious RP experience and a completed Danger Room final exam under their belt.

Brotherhood Elite

Just as the name says, this is the elite band of the Brotherhood's top agents. You practically run the place. But you have to prove you're worthy, or you'll be stuck a lowly peon for all eternity.

Brotherhood

The X-Students of the Dark Side. If you plan on being a member, this is what you must apply as. There are no in-between positions like the Institute Staff, so this is your choice.

Loner

An unaffiliated mutant. You may have contacts in either establishment, but if you plan on being taken in to either the Institute or the Brotherhood, at least try to spend some initial time RPing as a Loner. If this is your plan, please just apply as X-Student or Brotherhood, and save us all the trouble.

Human

Bound to be rare in this genre, but they can be for or against mutants.
