Rules

• No Godmoding or Powerplaying, staples of any site.
• Be respectful, Out of Character and In. If you have issues, please contact an admin, it's what they're there for.
• Mature events such as sex and extreme violence are not discouraged, but warning thread tags are required. In that vein, please keep from having every thread focus on sex, because frankly that's kind of weird.

• If you come up with a plot idea that would impact a large portion of the site, please run it past the admins first. Small sub-plots between characters are fine, though.
• Postscripts are allowed, but if your RP partner requests that you not use one, please respect their wishes.
• Avatars have a size limit of 100x100 pixels.
• When selecting profile images, please keep them tasteful; no nude or nearly-nude pictures.

• No relations to canon characters who are themselves non-canon, i.e. the child of Kitty Pryde or the brother of Logan. Exceptions might be made if discussed with the admins and an RPer if that canon character is currently being played by one.
• The number of abilities your mutant can have holds no limit, but try to keep them reasonable, and at least tangentially related. Seven completely unrelated abilities might be seen as going overboard without a convincing explanation.
• After being accepted, please don't change your profile without running things past the admins. Updating their history, appearance, etc if something happens in character is fine, but adding new powers or completely rehauling the character without permission isn't really acceptable.

• Complete applications are a must.
• There is a minimum word limit on the application, so if you need to check your word count, we recommend this site. The limits are:
  Powers: 200
  Weaknesses: 25
  Everything Else: 150
  
• Applications for canon characters must be written out yourself; pasting text from sites like Marvel Database is not allowed.
• Please take a look at the Current Powers list, and use your own discretion; there is no limit to the number of powers on the site, but if there are a lot of your choice already there, maybe consider adding a twist to yours. Also consider this if you're thinking of applying with a canon character.
• Please take into account the site's history if your character has been involved with the Institute for a number of years, as there have been some major upsets in recent history.
