Gods

NOTE: All divine beings are immortal. You can poke them in the eye if you like, or try to cut off their head, but all that’s going to do is give them a very nasty flesh wound.

If you’re applying as the reincarnate of one, please keep them generally similar. Don’t shift genders or transform Thantos into a flipping, flower-frolicking pansy with pink hair. Merci!

AMARA

Not a playable character

Known as the Mother Goddess, Amara is the goddess of creation and her realm was Amir. Her power extends over all things in the physical realm and keeps the balance there. Most people pray to her over family or social matters.

Few descriptions are left of Amara, although she is described as a dark skinned, pleasant looking woman. Passages relating to her appearance are few and far between, mainly because the scribes wanted to concentrate more on her story and not detract from it with elaborate descriptions - it's the same with most of the gods. She was said to be a kind and thoughtful person, one who disliked violence and chaos of any kind. She liked keeping things in order.

Things sacred to her included the tiger and the lily - her favorite flower. Both have carried on as symbols of her and it has become common to see lilies in temples dedicated to her, as well as used as a peace declaration. Tigers have become a sacred animal, and hunting one is sacrilege in almost every realm.

THANTOS

Thantos' reincarnate is Hiros

Thantos is the first son of Amara and ruler over the element of darkness. Aside from his people, he's mostly worshiped by warriors before battle and scholars for good fortune.

Thantos was described as a tall, dark, and ominous figure with charcoal hair, crimson eyes, and two black leathery wings. He believed in pacifism according to some, but many bear in mind his nasty lashes at his people and the disasters he failed to prevent. However, his people do also consider the lengths he strove to in order to keep the realm prosperous. Characterized as a solitary god, Thantos distanced himself from his family and immersed himself in books.

EVA

Eva's reincarnate is Vivica

Eva was Amara's first daughter, Thantos' twin, and ruled over his opposing force, light. She is prayed to by many for reasons as simple as luck and prosperity in life.

Eva is remembered as a blonde beauty with bright blue eyes and a happy demeanor. She disliked violence to the utmost just like her mother and preferred settling things peacefully. She's remembered as an independent, hard working female who liked playing the occasional game of chess, which is the official game of the Light Realm nowadays. She had strong relations with Thantos and the Dark Realm, which unfortunately haven’t held up to the test of time after her absence.

DALIUS

Dalius' reincarnate is Puc

Second son of Amara and ruler over the earth element, Dalius has always been a popular god, worshiped in many of the realms outside of his own. People like to pray to him for a good crop, plentiful harvests, and a season free from dust storms and locust swarms. Many also pray jointly to him and his twin sister Adariku for rain, associating him closely with their crops in every aspect.

Dalius is humorously remembered as a timid man with some paranoid tendencies and an almost obsessive-compulsive desire to garden, most specifically roses. People laugh when recalling his unexplainable fear of squirrels, and rumors still fly about his relationship with Primus - what on earth went on between those two, anyway? He was a man of average height, tan, and even sometimes sunburnt when he stayed out in his gardens too long. He had plain brown hair and skittish hazel eyes. Despite his amusing disposition, he was a respectful, polite god, even to mortals, but he was a little too timid sometimes and kept his mouth shut instead of voicing his opinion around his brothers and sisters.

ADARIKU

Adariku's reincarnate is Adara

Dalius’ twin and second daughter of Amara, Adariku holds the power over the storm element. She's prayed to mostly for the same reason her twin is: a good crop, but warriors also like to send her a prayer before heading out into battle.

Adariku is one character in history that no one would ever forget. She is remembered for her wit and cunning, both on and off of the battlefield. She was brash, headstrong, and fiercely independent. If there was a mountain blocking her path, she'd move the mountain. The goddess knew what she wanted, how to get it, and craftily succeeded every time. She had a playful side, but it usually resulted in tricking mortals or pulling the wool over the eyes of one of her brothers. Her appearance was nothing to scoff at either, with a pair of black wings with bright blue lines streaking across, matching electrifying eyes and a head of violet hair.

PRIMUS

Primus' reincarnate is Vanithe

The third son of Amara and ruler over fire. He's prayed to by the ambitious and the common workers alike, the first to reach their scheming goals, the second to have their hard work recognized on some level.

Primus was a tall, tanned man with startling red hair, sharp gold eyes, and an “X” shaped scar on the back of his palm. He was a lot like his older sister, Adariku, while still being very different. Strong, stubborn, hardheaded and crafty, they were both go-getters. However, Primus was as passionate as his element, something you wouldn’t call Adariku, and he'd strive against unmovable obstacles to get what he desired without the manipulation that his sister would impose.

ATHENA

Athena's reincarnate is open for application

Third daughter of Amara, Primus' twin, Athena holds power over water. People pray to her for many reasons, the most common being drought and famine since water can solve both of those problems easily.

She was a sweet little thing who loved playing games and fooling around whenever she could. The girl had an eye for things with a sparkle and delighted over any gifts with even a hint of a shine, making pearls a popular offering to the deity. She was somewhat promiscuous, which resulted in the low marriage rate in the Water Realm, and it additionally caused a few sparks between her and her mother. Although fooling around was her pastime of choice, she always got the job down, albeit sometimes a little last minute. She looked very similar to her creations, with teal skin, brilliant yellow eyes, and long, bright pink hair.

CELEST

Celest's reincarnate is Eclipse

Celest is the god of ice, the fourth son of Amara, rarely worshiped by anyone outside his own realm. Those who do worship him usually pray for easy passage into death for a loved one, as death is a large part of the Ice Realm’s nomadic culture. In contrast, many pray for their lives to be prosperous as well, no matter how long or short it may be.

The ice god is always described with the same appearance, but has two varying personalities. He is thought to be a man of some height with pale skin, silvery hair, and grey eyes. On his face, Celest is said to have had two blue triangles on each cheek, like the markings of a cat and the tattoo has become a sacred symbol in his own realm. When it comes to his actions and mannerisms, there is the disparity between the opinion of his own people and the opinion of the rest of the world. The general population describes him as a doom bringer, recalling a deadly winter he sent upon them years before the sealing. They believe him to be evil, violent, and filled with selfishness. His followers, however, recall a reclusive man who tried to avoid conflict and spent much of his time watching hidden from the sidelines. They claim he taught them to stay out of external affairs, not to give in to the temptation of what was wrong, and to fight only if their individuality and freedom was at stake.

In his realm, the mirror has become taboo and children are taught not to preen themselves in front of sheets of smooth ice and settle for who they are. Also, the tiger, although not hated, is not sacred to its people, and it's common for its skin to be used a blanket inside a hut or igloo, much to the horror of foreigners.
