General Rules

Respect everyone. That's common sense, duh! Treat people the way you wish to be treated. If you treat us with disrespect, that is all you are going to get in return.

No PP/GM unless given permission by the other character's RPer. Powerplaying is when you take control of another character within your own post without their permission; EG- If Spraky wrote "Sparky kicked Bucky and Bucky fell over," Sparky would be powerplaying. Godmoding is similar to powerplaying except you are controlling elements around you to your advantage. EG- Sparky wrote "Sparky watched as Bucky fell over and then watched a tree fall on top of them." Sparky would then be Godmoding.

Swearing is allowed, though be mature with it. No unnecessary excessive swearing please. People of all ages play this game.

Postscripts (tables) are allowed but shouldn't be over 480 pixels in width.

We accept three lines for a post minimum, however one liners will not be tolerated. There is an hundred word minimum requirement. If you need any help with meeting this, feel free to ask the Admin or members for some help in advancing your RPing skills.

The secret phrase is "Crack is whack yo”. Please put it in the appropriate place in your application.

Luminary

All new users must post in the Luminary Clearing first, even if you are going to be a Lone. This is so you can be given basic information about the Path and the options of where to live and what rank to take.

In the top of your Luminary Post please make a clear section stating what Alignment you are, what herd(s) you think you want to be in, and what rank you want to have.

Returning members of the Path can either pass through the Luminary or contact their previous herd through a Private Message to see if they may return.

Fighting

Stallions may challenge for Lord and Duke of any herd so long as it corresponds with their alignment. Only stallions who are within a herd may challenge for up to one mare a week.

Mares may challenge for Lady and Duchess as long as it corresponds with their alignment. They can also steal mares, foals and yearlings. Lone mares may steal foals and yearlings to have by their side but no more then 2 at a time. However Lone mares may not challenge for foals and/or yearlings, they must be stolen.

In a challenge, mares cannot fight stallions and vice versa.

Battles will not be fought to the death unless previously planned (the rp'er plans to kill off their character). They will be judged on roleplaying skills, grammar, and spelling. Do not expect to win if you fill your post up with crap. If the participants of the battle agree on a winner prior to the challenge for plot reasons and the admin have been informed then that is acceptable.

Before any official fight a set number of attacks and dodges must be determined by the two fighters. This is for fairness and making the fight easier to follow; 20 attacks at once is unreasonable. Dodge amount must be lower than attack amount. The ammounts can be set per post or as a total you are free to distribute over the total 7 fight posts so that it's less restrictive. The number, however, is up to the fighters to agree upon.

If the challenged does not reply within 3 days, whatever the other wanted, they get (this rule does not apply if you notify the admin of your absence).

Ranks that are not filled cannot be challenged for. In the case of Lord and Lady being empty, either the Duke/Duchess will be automatically promoted or Admins/the herd will deliberate on what to do.

Each participant is allowed 7 posts, the fight will be judged after the seven posts have been completed.

Breeding & Foals
Graphic breeding is permitted, but horsey-porn is not. And please, if it is going to be graphic, please put a note in the title of the thread.

Force breeding is allowed. However TPOTM does not condone rape in RL circumstances etc.

Horses of different alignments may NOT breed (save for force breeding). This means that ONLY Lights may breed with Lights, Neutrals with Neutrals, and Darks with Darks.

Consensual breeding can take place in the Fornicating Fields, though force breeding may happen anywhere.

Mares must try to get to the Foaling Grounds to give birth, however if realistic RPing does not allow for this that is alright. But the Foaling Grounds are the safest place and it should be noted that foals born outside of the Grounds are at greater risk of being hunted by predators and/or hurt by other horses.

Mares are to be in foal for a minimum of 2 weeks however after that period they may give birth anytime.

Breeding season is any time, but depending on the season the chance for a healthy foal will vary. If you breed/foal in Spring you have a 3/4 chance of a healthy foal. If you breed/foal in summer or fall you have a 2/4 chance of a healthy foal. And if you breed/foal in winter you have a 1/4 chance of a healthy foal.

Foal stats will be decided by a combination of both the rp'er and the admin. See the Foal Stats board in the Foaling Grounds for more information.
