Plot

There is a stone in Aenor, a catalyst of a very dark age in the country’s history, that the people call the physical manifestation of the essences of the earth. It’s sheer immensity of power is baffling at best, and it’s allure of greatness is a temptation not many can fight. The stone has played a terrible part of Aenor’s not too late history, and has been hidden away for it. For the goodness of Aenor, the knowledge that the stone was overpowering and tearing people apart drove a heroic few to hide it from the greed of humans.

Years later, while the presence of the stone is still felt by all, the intoxicating effect of it has since ceased plaguing Aenor. Now, the main turmoil that possesses the land comes not from some holy item, but from the people themselves. King Nalon Asta-Soreth, the current ruler of Aenor, is a man of many talents. Serving under the King are the three dukes, thus dividing the united kingdom of Aenor into three provinces: Milanthe, Evena-Dae, and Dreir'leon. The King resides in the heart of Aenor, his reputation spread through the three provinces. He is queen-less, his wife having died giving him no children, though he does have a daughter by a nameless prostitute. Yet, Nalon holds no affection for his daughter, Lilith Asta-Soreth, and instead, on top of ill treating her, he seeks to replace her as next-in-line with the son of the late Queen’s brother, even if Duke Alden Kanely is not of Nalon’s own royal blood.

Despite these personal affairs and dramas, King Nalon is not held in a good light by everyone. From the old days of Aenor, the wealth gap between the rich and the poor has become increasing wide. Now, it is hard to find someone who is not annoying rich or filthy poor. It is the nobles, in all their extravagance and riches, who adore the King and his policies, and fail to understand, or care, about the poor. So it is the poor, stricken with hunger and in despicable living conditions, that have grown restless and sick of it all; it is the poor who have begun rioting in the overcrowded streets of the worst cities. And it is from the poor that one man is stepping forth and organizing an underground resistance against the crown, against the nobility, and against the societal caste he has been set in.

In a time of much hidden and brooding turmoil, there cannot be enough trouble. Rumors of people, six to be exact, who can sense the stone have been spreading like wildfire through Aenor; but these are not just rumors. A prophecy, a prediction, was given long ago that the stone would not rest peacefully forever. It would call to people to come find it, to come release it back into the world. Now, it is time, and these six are starting to taste, to itch, to hear their calling though they do not, necessarily, understand what drives their yearnings or that it is for the stone, and the rest of Aenor is starting buzz with the search of the stone. In tricky times like these, it's good to have some power behind your name.
