Rules
Here at Cepheus Weyr, there are only 3 rules. That's right; three.What, that's not enough for you? Jeez.
The longer version...
On idiocy:
- Respect other people. Don't start flame wars.
- OOC is not equal to IC.
- This is canon Pern. If it doesn't exist in the books, it won't exist here.
- Post with some degree of thought (see: rule 2).
On posting:
- Standard format (third person, past tense) applies.
- Godmoding and powerplaying are for losers.
- Mark gore/sex/otherwise adult threads in the thread name. Otherwise, anything goes.
- No posting length requirements. Post what you feel is appropriate.
- Post in English. This includes decent spelling and grammar, and no stupid typing styles.
- Don't be an idiot (see: rule 1).
On fun:
- Don't feel pressured to do anything. The whole point of the site is to enjoy yourself; if you aren't having fun, you're missing the point of roleplaying. Regular posting is highly appreciated, but if you can't post for a week for whatever reason-- school, work, laziness, writer's block, whatever-- just let us know where you are and go off and be rejuvenated.
- Go wild! Do crazy things you'd never do in real life. Start up masses of miniplots with your fellow members. Create love hypercubes. Generate more melodrama than your average soap opera. That is what roleplaying is for: if you're not having fun, it's not worth the effort!
