Nagas: NOT just another Weyr (Mutation Hatching, 'Door prizes,' Threadfall!!!) Nagas Weyr "It's not just a Weyr and a Threadfight and between and dragons, that's what Pern needs but what Pern is...is an entire WORLD." Are you tired of Pern sites that are entirely about dragons and dragonriders fighting Thread and Hatching and Impressing? Looking for something more? Look no further than here! This site is not all about dragons, or even mostly about dragons. We have a full set of Crafthalls and Holds with plenty of ranking character openings: Lord and Lady Holders, Stewards, Headwomen, Master Crafters, and so forth. There are also plots, competitions, ambitions, and agendas for all of these: fosterlings/sons/nephews competing with each other to become the preferred heir to a Hold; less-gifted Apprentices pulling pranks on more-gifted; Lord Holders arguing because four of their number don't believe the fifth is really a Lord Holder (and that his lands do not really constitute a Hold); rebellion among the dragon ranks; and more. Of course, we also have dragons and Threadfights and all that standard DRoP stuff. They are non-canon Weyrs, and my oh my, has the hatred begun to swell between canon and non-canon... To ensure the existence of non-Weyr plots, I have one application rule: for every Weyr character a gamer has, he or she must create a non-Weyr character before they can have another Weyr character. Current IC Activity:
*Special Mark: this is a special creation that can be used for many things. You can buy things with them, including forgiveness for wrongs done (i.e., not posting at required posts without an absent notice) and Mystery Prizes. **Mystery Prize: this is a special creation that falls into one of the following categories - items (e.g. weapons and jewelry), games (popular among Bitrans!), musical instruments (popular among Harpers...of course), and pets. Each Mystery Prize has some special attribute, whether it's what it is made out of or an ability; for example, pets may be able to become invisible, etc. What we have:

EXACTLY.
That's WHY I made this site. I know there are people out there (like me) who know and love all the books--and all the characters and so on--who get sick of "Flight, Hatching, Threadfall, and the occasional Gather," which is about all you CAN do with dragons UNLESS you have other organizations--like Holds and Halls. *sets up a bubbly pie stall and hands out free bubblies* Fri 21 Dec, 12:33pm |

O.o Hero worship scares me!
I had someone in high school who told me I was her hero...she was 2 years older than me. That was right after I convinced one of her classmates that he didn't want to just drop out of high school and get his GED. I mean...it made me feel good, but it also made me feel like...eek!

Alright, so I've read all the pages (can't find the adoptables though, could be that I'm using IE), and I have a question. I noticed that you don't have a weavercraft. Since cloth tends to be rather important, I was wondering if you'd be open to the idea of having a master weaver come to try and set up a craft hall? Maybe?

We do have Weavercraft, actually. It's located at Padas Hold. We actually have a couple of Apprentice and Journeyman/woman Weavers, but no Masters.
We don't actually have an adoptables page. I'm working on a solution to the IE compatibility issue. Those pages worked when I first made them--before the server switch. It could be something to do with that. Thu 10 Jan, 5:17pm |

I actually must have looked right over that. Hehe. I may want to apply for master weaver then. It's my favorite craft, pretty much, besides runners. I don't remember if they're actually a craft or not since the only thing about them was a short story in an anthology O.o

Not runnerbeasts, runners. I've only ever read about them once in a short story. Before there were firelizards, runners would literally run messages across Pern on foot. They were sort of bred into it, and entire families would run runner stations and be runners themselves. And a few were 'Lopers' who went into a trance like state when they ran and could basically outrun anyone. *shrug* Like I said, I don't think they make much of an appearence in any of the actual books.

Have you really had people do dumb stuff to cause every single one of those rules? I like Pern and would like to think that I'm at least a competent player, but the site (and the jaded attitude in the rules) isn't very newbie friendly. D:
