Apparently a guest was having confusion as to fact and fiction and didn't understand the point of the age information. Though he/she/it was the only one who mentioned anything, I do agree that what he/she implied did make sense (although all he ended up arguing was that fourteen-year-olds should be allowed have sex.) That aside, though, I am not disagreeing with him/her aside from the fact that she/he started just bashing the site from the getgo without listening to our responses and explanations. To try to prevent further disruption to the site (and, of course, confusion, because we really do love you all), I'd like to point out that the age information is not the actual OC/IC rules. They're simply I.C./NPC guidelines, like, say, laws the actual city of New York would have. In other words, this is just to make things more realistic. These are guidelines--like laws in real life in the city of New York (or, maybe, the entire U.S.A.), but for your characters. They do not have to be followed, because, like in real life, people break the law.
We have this age information because the admins can give some random events out regarding these laws.
And, yes, when I say that sixteen-year-olds or whatnot are not allowed to have sex...it's technically more so that it's frowned upon. And it also refers to statutory rape. So, that being said, check this out. Below is what makes characters a moral citizen or vice versa.
