Regions of Ostensia Defined

Each region in Ostensia has its own capital, where the castle and the ruling duke/duchess are located. Smaller cities have their own ruling lords and ladies. When attending formal functions and court meetings, it is required of the attending Nobles to be dressed in their castle's colors.

Drass Sea

Capital: Inolia
Ruling family: Utsume Tosaka
Region's colors: Lavender and soft green.
Cities: Credden
Ruling families: Jonas Nightshade
Landscape: Lush fields with an abundance of wild flowers. Common trees are maples, hazelnut, walnut, cottonwood trees (near water), and a few willows.
Climate: During the summer it reaches the high 80°s, low 60°s, with summer showers. Winters are chilly with frequent winds, but no snow ever falls. Spring is pleasant with light rain.
Residents: Predominantly human, tend to have more females than males due to the amazons who have established unmarked territories nearby.

Valeese Region

Capital: Aralia
Ruling family: Kaisa Blackwood
Region's colors: Light blue and silver.

Inabarro
Ruling families: None
Landscape: High mountains and many trees such as pines and evergreens. The woods are dense and small. Pathways are seen going to and from Aralia and Earenya. The Taph river winds right through the mountains and into the Odyl sea.
Climate: Summers get mildly hot but with all the trees and shade no one really feels it. During the winter it does get cold and snow hits the peaks as well as the forest floor. Springs are nice and there are a few showers.
Residents: Predominantly elves, there are only a few humans who ever travel through the Valeese mountains, due to inexperience with the terrain.

Odyl Sea

Region's colors: Peach and dark blue.

Clodire
Ruling families: None
Landscape: Rolling hills far as the eyes can see. Scarce trees and foliage, its like one large plain stretched over the hills. There is Clodire lake and two rivers that flow from it, other than that its pretty plain.
Climate: Mild to hot summers, mild winters and crisp springs. In the spring time it gets chilly at night and tends to rain a lot. Snow never hits and the water doesn't freeze over.
Residents: Mostly human closer to the coast, mixes of all sorts in Balder and Catro, less of a mix in Avenberry.

Gianhalli Gulf

Capital: Balder
Ruling family: Alexis Ashfield
Balder's colors:Soft rose pink and white.
Cities: Catro
Ruling families: None
Balder's colors:Brick red.
Landscape: Beaches near the gulf that reach up to the cities walls and behind them is green grass meeting the river.
Climate: Mild to hot summers, no snow in the winter but temperatures drop. In the spring time it gets chilly both at night and day.
Residents: Mostly human further from the coast, mixes of all sorts in Balder and Catro.

Dusty Hale

Capital: Shadesburne
Ruling family: Malhari Anairt
Region's colors: Black and cream.
Cities: Shaderi
Ruling families: None
Landscape: Not much to say about the looks of the place. Its dusty, hot, and has plenty of dirt. Khrar desert is located in the middle, though most try to avoid it for the sand is almost liquid fire and the sun is blinding.
Climate: Very hot summers, if your not used to the heat you will be guaranteed a good sunburn. The winters get freezing but no snow, its the typical desert climate.
Residents: Human. Very rarely will you see a fair skinned elf wandering through Dusty Hale. And if you do, by chance, run a cross an elf, they won't be fair skinned anymore.

Ophes Mountains

Capital: Sunport
Ruling family: Alat Talian
Region's colors: White and warm orange/gold.

Ryrt
Ruling families: None
Landscape: The Ophes range is not as tall as the Valeese, they are more gentle peaks and not so steep trails. The only trees you will find are lining the eastern side of the mountains. When you clear Ryrt's pass the tree cease and it becomes just farming fields and meadows.
Climate: The winters aren't as harsh as the other mountain climates, but they do get snow. Summers at the base of the mountains aren't to bad. The closer you get the coast the warmer it gets. Springs bring showers and warm winds.
Residents: A healthy mix of elves and humans, both cohabitate nicely with each other. Sunport brings a lot of them to the cost seeing as its a more resort city.

Uncharted Islands

Information on the capital, ruling family(s), and region color(s) is still being decided on. Positions for the chief of the mermaids and centaurs is still open and people highly encouraged to apply for either position. If you apply for either you will probably be able to decide on all three undecided facts mentioned above.

Landscape: Eastern half consists mostly of forest areas. Some are dense and near impossible to navigate but most of the area is your usual forest. It takes two weeks to go to the Uncharted Islands from Merlot.
The western half is a beautiful coast line with sparkling beaches and tropical plants.
Climate: During the summer it reaches the high 70°s, low 50°s, with summer showers. Winters are chilly with frequent winds, but no snow ever falls. Spring is pleasant with light rain.
Residents: The Centaurs live in the forests while the Mermaids inhabit the coast line and sea. Both races are very friendly with each other and the very rare visitor.
