Several months ago, the Fourth Member of the Elite Four met with a rather untimely end at the hands of a legendary. The world of the Trainers is still reeling from this blow; many of the Gym Leaders realized that perhaps they were getting too old for this job, and resigned in the wake. Talented members of the United Trainers League of Swusoo and Quartz are being asked to step up to fill the positions. The remaining Heads of the League, away on ‘business’, have returned to their seats at the top of their games, but they still need their Fourth Member.
In the meantime, a new style of League has sprung up: Breeding. Except, y’know, it’s not. Breeding is about popularity; climbing the social ladder to control the eyes of the masses, and keep all the lights on you.
Of course, the Agents of bad are still up to no good; but the contention to them this time isn’t the innocent trainers: it’s the Government. And they get to carry guns in public.
