Welcome to Riylon
Year 871
Most of Riylon has been forced to accept the return of the Demons with the fall of Nalroth, with the exception of Laweni and some southern regions of Aleros who are not yet aware of the Demons' rising. However, seemingly content to remain on their continent, the demons were left to their own devices.
Unfortunately, in what is known as the Demon Crossing, a small boat filled with Demons arrived on the eastern coast of Lusayl, determined to conquer yet another continent. Demon travel is slow by sea, but they are steadily arriving with ever increasing frequency and capacity, and they bring only death and corruption with them.

It is said that the gods created all races as equals, and in a perfect world somebody would actually believe it. The world of Riylon is a world divided by race, filled with ancient alliances, enmities, and broken promises. Here each race holds loyalty to their own people over even kingdom and country. Still, life has always continued with some semblance of peace despite the divisions, but with nothing near unity.
It is also said that the best way to unite a people is to give them a common enemy. This hardly works, however, when your enemy is fully capable of destroying you. With the appearance of the demons and their swift conquest of the entire continent of Nalroth, the rest of the world fears the spread of the demons and the fall of humanity.
Now is a time when all alliances will be fulfilled, ancient grievances avenged, loyalty proved and broken, and all things divided. Does hope lie in serving the demons or allying against them? Do you even care enough to take a side? Welcome to Riylon.
