Old School Rules

◆ Proper spelling and grammar is a must. No ‘internet-talk’ or abbreviations.

◆ Once you sign up and receive your password, please log in and post your application in the correct area. Once you have been approved and your rank has been assigned you may begin positing. Do not post until you fill out your application on the forum!

◆ You have three days to post your application on the forum and one week from your sign up day to make a post. Any member who has not posted will be deleted.

◆ Make sure you log in at least once a week and make an effort to post on the board. We understand you have a life outside of the internet as we do too, but it’s not hard to post or respond every few days.

◆ If you need to take a hiatus or will be gone for longer than one week, please notify one of the mods so we can make a note. This ensures you won’t be deleted. But if we do not hear from you after six weeks, you will be deleted.

◆ The rating for this board can go as high as NC-17, so please join and read at your own risk.

◆ No Godmodding. You will be warned once and then deleted afterward if you continue.

◆ You cannot kill someone’s character without their permission. Fights will be started and characters can get hurt, but if you do not have permission to kill their character, then don’t do it. If you are caught or are reported doing this you will be suspended.

◆ Writing style is third person past-tense, paragraphs only. We believe in quality over quantity. If you are caught writing four sentences for a post or less, you will be warned once before you are deleted.

◆ Threads may be open to anyone or closed to a specific person or group of people. If you want to reserve a thread just put the character's name(s) in brackets after the title.

◆ To ensure you read these rules make sure to include the word masquerade in your application some where.

◆ Important: If all your posts are nothing but sex posts, we will warn you to actually include some plot. Boards die when it’s nothing, but sex. We are trying to keep this alive. People don't have sex every time they meets someone in a dark alleyway or to discuss business. Plot is more fun and you will enjoy it more, we promise. If you are a prostitute we understand it is required, but even a whore can have some plot in their life. Be creative!

◆ Do not stick to writing with just a few select people. Plots die after that and we would like to see you interacting with other members.

◆ You can apply up to three characters, but they must be from different bands and be in different positions. If we feel you can handle more then three we will allow you to claim up to five, but you must seek the mods approval before doing so.
