Welcome to Scattered FeathersFyrian is a torn world. It was once protected by two clans of beings, their only difference being the color of their wings. Named for their most noticed feature, the Feathered were a proud race in their separate clans, but their vanity got the better of them. A war broke out between the two peoples. Black, White, and Red covered the battle fields, tainting the countryside and the seas alike. Many people died, people not only of Feathered decent, and the two clans slowly began to wipe each other out along with any species unlucky enough to be caught between them. The war was ended with one final battle, which, oddly wasn't ended by the people themselves, but an odd glass sphere. Each of the clans had been entrusted with one half of the object when they were founded, and when the sides came together the little sphere fulfilled the wish of each half. To destroy their opponent. Nothing was left when the sphere's flash had ended, and the little object had disappeared. However, the light of the very few Feathered left in hiding did not. Many years later, the heirs of either clan rose again, not as the noble creatures they once were, but as pirates, in a race to retrieve the sphere they lost. The world has changed greatly since the race went into hiding. Humans litter the planet. Ports, Whores, Castles, Nobles, Peasants, and Military... The world is different indeed. Pirates prowl the oceans, and the military follow them, bringing any unlucky enough to be caught to the capital, where they are executed before the cheering, self-righteous citizens. There are many places to visit, people to meet, and even more nooks to search. Stories fill the land with clues for the remaining Feathered. But where has our little sphere gone? Note: Don't pay too much attention to the story, this wont effect your play much, it's only the main story behind the opposing captains. Fyrian is an older world, electricity isn't in existence, but we're going to assume that condoms have somehow been invented (maybe they aren't rubber, who knows?). Things are bought through a currency of coins or trade. Criminals are judged, usually, by the local law enforcement. Also note that homosexuality most certainly isn't a crime, just unusual. |
