Classes

All students 5th year and under are required to attend seven classes a day. 6th and 7th years may drop 1-2 classes that are not required for the field they wish to enter upon graduation.

Required All students from 1st to 5th year are required to attend the following classes:
Potions
Defense Against the Dark Arts*
Transfiguration
Herbology
Charms
History of Magic
Astronomy*
Flying (1st years only)

Electives Optional classes:
Muggle Studies*
Arithmancy
Divination
Care of Magical Creatures*
