These are the ranks and roles within the world. Of course, with these roles you will also hold down a normal, real-world job if you want any money. :D
The Company
The Company is a secret, privately-funded corporation that tracks and deals with gifted people. It is run by a man named Linderman who runs a casino in Las Vegas along with other side-projects. They're probably the most knowledgeable people about what's going on with these abilities in the world. The cover for the Company is a small paper business called Primatech Paper.
Company Founder - 1/2 (Reserved) - This position is reserved for the people who currently run the company or at one time had a major part in its development: Daniel Linderman and Angela Petrelli. They may not always agree on how things are run, but they do have a common goal and that's to "save the world." For those who have watched the show, I will add positions for anyone who wants to play one of the still living twelve, like Robert Bishop or Kaito Nakamura.
Company Regional Head - 0/2 (1 Reserved) - The Regional Head is exactly what it sounds like, he runs the region that his headquarters is located in. Therefore, one head will be in Texas and one will be in New York. They're in charge of keeping everyone in line and report directly to either Linderman or Mrs. Petrelli. The reserved regional head is for Texas and it is the adoptable character named Thompson.
Company Man - 3/5 - A company man is a man (or woman, damn those sexist titles) who doesn't have an ability, but has skills in other areas. They usually have some military experience and are required to know at least one other language. They are partnered up with a person with an ability just to keep everyone "honest." If you sign up for this rank you will be assigned a partner when you log-on. If there is no partner available, you'll be assigned one when there is one available. All partnerships are subject to change whenever a Regional Head (or the admin) sees fit... or you can just ask for reassignment.
Company Partner - 2/5 - A person with some sort of useful ability to the Company, these are usually more subtle powers than offensive ones, such as invisibility, illusion, mind reading, etc... Partnerships are exactly the same as the Company Men, you can ask for reassignment and such.
Company - In Training - 0/2 (for now) - The newer and/or younger members of the group, whether they have an ability or not. They are under strict observation and their jobs are limited until they graduate.
Kill Squad - Unlimited - These are the non-ability holding troops of the Company. Ex-Marine, Navy, Army, it doesn't matter, they accept all military backgrounds into this position, all that matter is you're discreet and you can get the job done. You are the grunts of the Company sent in when recon, prisoner transfer, or back watching is needed and with a little hard work, you could just become a Company Man. That is if you would ever want to.
Ex-Company - 2/2 (Closed, for now) - You were with the Company for a long time, but maybe their methods got to you after awhile. Or maybe you discovered what they do to those with uncontrollable or dangerous abilities. In any case, you're not with the Company anymore and that means you're on the run. Because the Company never leaves loose ends.
Those With Abilities
There is only one rank for people with abilities and that's ability holder, but its not like you don't have options. You could be recruited by the Company, start using your powers for good or evil, or well do whatever the hell you want. These positions are limited to canons and three made-ups. Right now this site is more about genesis. We don't want six million powerful people running around do we?
Ability Holder - 3/3 (Closed for now, only open to Canon characters.) - You have an ability, congrats!
Mere Mortals
You're normal and oblivious and if you knew, you know it would suck. However, you could be on the list and not know it and just waiting for your power to manifest.
Normal - Unlimited - A mere mortal you have no hopes of ever gaining an ability, and you might even be totally oblivious. Or you could want revenge on the whole gifted race because of something one did to your family... dum dum dum.
Listed - Unlimited - You're on the list, you just have no idea what your power is. Don't worry, you'll be PMed with two choices for you to pick from once we deem you ready. :D
