Adopt-a-CEO

All but 1 of Afterlife Inc's six CEOs are premade characters, and those that have not yet been taken are available for adoption here. If you want to play one, apply as you would for any other character, making sure you incorporate the rough outline given here into your character description. You may only adopt 1 CEO, maximum.

Italicized characters are taken. Please do not apply for them

Zetian
Zeli has retained a sort of elegant beauty that makes it clear she was once absolutely gorgeous. Her face, covered in fine gold fur, is wrinkled with age, but in a controlled, almost purposeful way that brings to mind "mature businesswoman", not "elderly grandmother", although she does have six grandkids. The slight slant of her eyes mark her as an asian demon, as do the fox ears and nine gold-yellow fox-tails that she keeps so neatly trimmed and groomed. Although she can transform into a full kitsune, she prefers her more humanoid form and its opposable thumbs.
Perhaps once, long ago, she was a reasonably harmless trickster demon, but she's long since got over that. She goes about her job with ruthless precision, tolerating those who do well and punishing those who do poorly like the schoolteacher from Hell. To see her smile is a rare occurrence indeed, and it's almost always a bad sign.
Roleplaying Notes: Zetian's probably the most playable of all the CEOs, but do keep in mind that she's an older character. The choice of whether or not to make her a cougar is up to the roleplayer, as is the choice of whether or not she's married.

Pelobatidae
The sort of creature every young office girl (and some office guys) dreads having as a boss. This morbidly obese toad-like demon is a lustful, vengeful, truly disgusting glutton. It's said that in his youth he was handsome, in an amphibian way, but all traces of that have long since vanished. His skin is swamp-green, with brown-green patches instead of hair, and a pale pink tongue. His eyes are wide-set and vertically pupiled, a yellow-orange that contrasts garishly with his skin.
Although he spends much of his time delighting in sins of the flesh, Pelo finds room for all his CEO duties. He's ruthless in his need to stay in power, and horror stories about what he does to those he catches plotting against him are enough to keep most people in line.
Roleplaying Notes: Pelo is... ugh, not at all a pleasant character. I probably wouldn't be able to do him justice myself. Keep in mind that OOC, just about everyone is going to hate your character if you play Pelobatidae.

Joe
At first glance, Joe looks human- a plain old office guy with blue-black suits, neatly cut hair and drab ties. At second glance, he still looks human, completely 100% normal. Then you see his eyes. They're all black; a deep, lightless black that even Lucifer says is "creepy". He speaks in monotone, sometimes sounding like two or more people speaking together. Rumor has it he devours human souls to stay alive, a practice that's highly illegal even in Hell.
Joe's actions are rational and calculated, unhindered by emotions. He doesn't seem to have much of a life outside of work, and so devotes his time completely to his job.
Roleplaying Notes: Joe's rather, er, robotic, and probably won't trigger much in the way of fascinating inter-character dialogue. Perfect character for someone who doesn't have too much time to roleplay, because he doesn't exactly get out much. Or for someone who already has a WTH character, and wants a second.

Jonquil
Most rat-like businessmen get a few promotions, and then all their lies and tricks catch up to him. Being a sneak and a snitch is a dangerous business, and most never make it to the top, but Jonquil has defied conventions. He’s a short little demon covered in pale blue-grey fur that sticks out at his cheeks, pale pink eyes, and a rat-like tail and face. A pair of sky blue horns grace his forehead, and his rodent-like front teeth stick out past his lower lip. Almost cute, really, if he didn’t always have such a sour expression on his face.
He’s the second oldest of the CEOs, and hasn’t changed his tactics from the weaseling ways that got him to the top. He’s often not seen at the office for days, even weeks on end- hiding until something he’s done blows over. Lately, though, he’s been absent even more than usual...
Roleplaying Notes: Jonquil might be fun to roleplay, but if you take him make sure you don't get too attached. CEOs don't live forever, and this one's lifetime is rapidly reaching its end. Whoever plays Jonquil will have to work closely with me, since he plays a necessary and integral part in the plot.

Helena
Her name puts to mind images of fair maidens at the mercy and call of noble knights and warriors. Nothing could be further from the truth. Helena is a crimson red dragon, twenty feet long from head to tail, and she eats knights for breakfast. Well, not anymore, they're too hard to come by. She's a typical western dragon-demon, four-footed and scaled from head to toe with large, bat-like wings and fiery breath. Needless to say, she has a specially designed office on the fiftieth floor, with a large window, extra-big keyboard, and a perch instead of a chair.
Born the second youngest in a family of eight, Helena is much brighter than your average dragon, most of whom would have trouble counting to a hundred. All her life she's been a hard worker, surpassing expectations and excelling through dedication. Her position as a CEO was earned through sweat and blood, along with a notable portion of intimidation. Hey, you use what you have.
Roleplaying Notes: Helena will be hard to fit into some roleplays, but aside from that she could be a very fun character. Her personality is largely up in the air, so feel free to be creative.
