X-Men
Though often treated as unequal by close-minded supporters of human’s superiority, this well-organized and well-trained group of mutants strive to find a balance, a way for both humans and mutants to coexist. The X-Men were formed by Charles Xavier, who has recently been killed when returning from a mission overseas by the same humans he always believed in; irony stuck hard that day. Often the savior of both humans and mutants, Charles Xavier was gunned down in what is best described as spite and fear, by those he alone advocated. The X-Men are hurt by the loss of this beloved leader, friend, and father, but they are still strong, and are now coming together to take all that has, and is about to be thrown at them, as a team. Strong and connected, they are a force to be reckoned with.
Neyaphem-Brotherhood
The old Brotherhood has been thrown out the window upon the arrival of demon supreme Azazel, a man from a dark, dangerous world with inhuman powers and a cold, dark heart. With the aid of his minions and Elite mutants, he plans to bring his army to Earth, a massive group of demons and the like that are ready, and trained, to kill with maximum efficiency.
Acolytes
Wanda, daughter of Magneto, and mutant supreme, formed this group of highly powerful mutants, mutants ready for action, for revenge, for human suffering; all in an organized fashion. Smart and cunning, the Acolytes have a game plan all set up, starting with their recent assassination of the President and Vice President. Though this assassination is frowned upon by many mutants, (as the man was a moderate in mutant security), a large number feel the tension that the Acolytes have helped form between the humans and mutants, and are itching the fight.
The XC
The XC was original started by two lone mutants hell bent on destruction and chaos, Xellience and Coldfire. After they departed their own group leadership was turned over to Trinity. In past months the XC, a group of mutants that love utter destruction on a whim, have gone downhill slightly. Their members have dwindled, and with the absence of their leader Trinity, they have been less organized than ever, (which is saying something because they were never all that connected before), but all that has begun to change with the news of their leader Trinity’s death. Taken by humans to one of their new mutant holding camps in Alaska when on vacation and supposedly murdered in one of their high-risk areas. This event has sent the XC onto a path for revenge, but a few from within them have called for organization- they have to be together and have a plan if they can really make the humans hurt for what they did to them. Are they for once completely right in their plans for murder, blood, and the torture of innocent humans? You decide.
Lone Mutants
One day you find out that you’re genetically altered, that you have strayed from the DNA-path of all others on the planet. You’re a mutant, and you have special powers, sometimes good, sometimes strange and disturbing, even harmful to yourself and others. Whatever your specific case is, before you choose a group, or after you decide to be a mutant unto yourself, you are considered a lone mutant. You are a gifted young person without connections, obligations, or added responsibility to carry. Are you a silent supporter of the mutants, a recluse looking for a way to cope with your unwanted gift, or are you a loud-spoken advocate of another group? Some lone mutants like to band together because they themselves are neutral. Whatever side they support, whatever idea they advocate, they don’t want to fight themselves. They are the Haven. If you live in the Haven, you are a neutral mutant.
Humans
The largest group so far on the planet, and definitely in the Bayville area, they are often unaware of the large mutant population around them at all times. Many of the population are in support of the new mutant-housing projects in Alaska, but a number of them are against it. Humans live their own lives, whether they are in or out of the fight is up to you, of course, and which side they choose if they do fight is your choosing.
